I purchased this at a long-established military shop in Osaka, Japan.
It dates back to the 1940s.
It is an embroidered type on a dark navy felt.
The embroidery is in shades of green.
It would go well with field jackets such as M41 or M43, as well as an Ike jacket.
It is likely deadstock, but please understand that it is over 80 years old.
Genuine chevrons from that era are quite rare.
