‘The Emperor’ is a vibrant original handmade mixed media collage acrylic painting made and signed by Artist Tristina Dietz Elmes
It features a vintage postage stamp from the United Arab Emirates with the inscription "Napoleon the First Consul. J.D. Ingres", however, the historical painting presented on the stamp was actually painted by Auguste Couder in 1856 with the full title, "Installation of the Counsel of State at the Palais du Petit-Luxembourg", and it hangs at Versailles in the Museum of the History of France.
This exciting wall or desk art piece also includes collage of colorful paper handmade by the artist and expressive artist’s crayon strokes in blue, orange, yellow and red on a bright pastel green background.
The artwork arrives beautifully presented either loose on a black acid free mat board or attached with artist’s tape on a white or black acid free mat and in a sealed plastic bag. Simply remove from the bag and this painting is ready to pop into your favorite frame.
