This is a 90mm single-focal-length macro lens with a bright F2.8 aperture, making it an easy-to-use lens.

● Optics
This lens provides clear and sharp images under normal light sources. However, when viewed against a very strong light source, mold is visible in the middle of the lens (see photos 4 and 5).
There is also a coating defect or similar dirt on the rearmost lens, and what appears to be balsam separation on the periphery.
The included LIFE-SIZE ATTACHMENT for 1:1 magnification shows what looks like bubbles throughout when held up to the light.
In all cases, these issues are believed to have a minor impact on image quality unless used in extreme backlight conditions.

● Functionality
The focusing helicoid, aperture ring, and aperture blades all operate smoothly.
Mounting the lens also presents no issues.

● Appearance
There are minor scratches and dirt associated with use.
