Extremely rare American specimen! Fully natural Bixbyite crystal from the US locale of Thomas Range in Utah. Bixbyite is a dark silver / black, manganese iron oxide mineral full of mirror like glassy luster. Highly sought after by collectors as it forms metallic, lustrous geometric cubed crystals. Near complete cubes are very uncommon, making this crystal collectible. The bixbyite features detailed natural etchings and terminations, as well as some of the original albite matrix. The metallic bixbyite cube also displays some rainbow iridescence in the light! This American classic is a perfect thumbnail display size at approx 1/2 an inch cubed.
