The legendary editor Bunhiro Hayashi, who passed away from colon cancer at the young age of 46, was the founder of the fashion and culture magazine "Libertin DUNE No.3 2012." Utilizing a network related to fashion, art, and subculture, Hayashi assembled an impressive collection of contributions from notable artists and photographers for "Dune." From the inaugural issue in 1993, featuring Rie Miyazawa on the cover, to the final 33rd issue in 2008, featuring Rinko Kikuchi, the magazine has had a significant impact. Although it was revived as "Libertin DUNE" in 2011 with Sofia Coppola on the cover, Hayashi sadly passed away that same year. Following his death, his wife, Kazumi Hayashi, who was originally a stylist and photographer and also served as the editorial director for i-d Japan, took on the role of editor-in-chief for this third issue. It features contributions from Yayoi Kusama, Keiichi Tanaami, Ed Templeton, Nick Heymes, Kim Jones, Christian Joy, among others, along with sections like "Tokyo City" by Shin Suzuki, "Lo: Vanna" by Olivier Zahm, and "Women Only" by Felipe Sanguinetti.
