The perfect combination of two remarkable black gems - Black Star Diopside & Black Spinel. A magnificent example of the 4 ray white star for which the Indian Black Star Diopside is known. The deep black hue of the Spinel accentuates the asterism beautifully. The stunning 6.50 ct oval cabochon Diopside rests in 4 round prongs and basket setting. The uniquely designed shoulders feature 0.06 ct round faceted Black Spinel and 0.02 ct Diamond accents. Within the diamond pattern design on the shoulders: first two sections contain the flush set Diamonds; the remaining six sections feature the faceted Spinel in button prongs. The under gallery continues throughout the shoulders. Also known as the "Black Star of India", these lovely gems are mined in India. The Spinel was mined in Thailand.
