Murano or Sanyo??
Unfortunately, the sticker with the name/origin of this vase was removed so I can't give a 100% positive ID. When I first posted, my best guess was Murano Glass, but a very friendly person on this site did a reverse Google search and thinks it's likely Sanyo. I remember my mom saying there was something special about it…suggesting it has value or an interesting origin, but I wasn't paying close enough attention to tell you what. Whichever it is, I'm sure I have under priced it which is a win for whoever makes the purchase!
What I know for sure is that it lived in grandmother’s cupboard before it lived in mom’s, so dating it to the 1960s/70s is true. It is heavy, high-quality, and hand-blown glass. No chips, or cracks. There is some faint scratching on the bottom but it is out of sight.
