Hackmanite is exceptionally rare and considered a collectors stone.
It is a variety of Sodalite containing sulphur which often exhibits tenebrescence ie. it changes colour in light and reverts when in the dark.
This one has Pyrite too! I've never seen them together.
This 28g specimen has a triangular shaped matrix topped with basically an Octohedron shaped purple Hackmanite crystal cluster. You can see the reflective flat planes of the terminations. The whole cluster shines bright pink/orange under U.V light. The specimen has an overall sparkly sheen. I even see a light blue crystal in there. Plentiful also with Pyrite all down two of the sides.
Hackmanite is known as the stone of eternal belonging.
It is a stone which is said to remind us of how everything has its own time and place.
They are powerful stones to use in meditation as they assist you to make a deeper, stronger connection to Spirit.
This piece is 2.25" tall x 1" wide x 1" thick.
