This is a beautiful, authentic antique stoneware whiskey jug featuring a classic Albany Slip brown glaze. This hand-thrown piece has a wonderful rustic character, showing the concentric ridges from the potter's wheel and a sturdy, applied handle. It comes complete with a well-fitted vintage wood cork.
The jug is in excellent antique condition with no major cracks or chips. It does feature a few "pops" and glaze irregularities original to the firing process, which only add to its primitive charm. The unglazed bottom shows the natural clay and age-appropriate wear.
