AIWA TP-M11 Microcassette Recorder

AIWA microcassette recorder TP-M11 with dual speed function.

I purchased this several decades ago, but I rarely used it.
I checked its operation this time, and it didn't work due to a broken rubber belt, so I was able to confirm its operation after replacing the belt. I haven't been able to check the external microphone and earphones because I don't have the devices.

The concerning point is that when recording at a tape speed of 2.4 cm, the pulse-like noise from the gear section was picked up, and satisfactory recording performance was not achieved. Also, the drive noise was severe in the first half of the tape, and the noise decreased in the second half of the tape. The noise is also reduced at a tape speed of 1.2 cm. By the way, the symptoms did not improve even after greasing the gears.
Regarding playback, the noise was not at a concerning level.

If you intend to use it for recording, I recommend using an external microphone or using a tape speed of 1.2 cm.

An earphone case is included as an accessory, but earphones are not included.
Please prepare batteries yourself. Two AA batteries are required. An AC adapter was sold separately, so it is not included.

Three used tapes are included, two Olympus and one SONY, for a total of three. The titles are written in ballpoint pen on the index included in the tape case. They are not written on the tape itself.
