Bleadon-Dun Co. was known in the 1920s and 30s for manufacturing violet ray machines, which were used as a form of alternative medicine, primarily for treating skin conditions and relieving minor aches and pains. This is the case which would have contained the machine. Beautifully repurposed by adding the cherub lining and preserving the original guarantee. So loved that the handle has been replaced by an old belt. Opens, closes and fastens well. A gorgeous storage case for lace, fabrics, haberdashery and anything soft and delicate. Measures 12.5ins x 7.5ins x 3.25ins.
